Finding My Way Back: A Spiritual Homecoming

By Tina Osborne

I had an experience when I was about 27 that I will never forget. I experienced the Spirit so strongly that it almost knocked me over. I had been struggling with a number of things, such as the loss of my father, graduate school, and moving to a new state where I didn’t know anyone. I hadn’t been active for at least eight years at that time and didn’t understand where I might fit the gospel into my life. Because I was struggling so much, when I returned home to Salt Lake after a business trip, I decided to go to church. When I walked into the chapel, the Spirit was profoundly strong and palpable. I knew then that this was what was missing from my life and what I needed. Shortly after that, I met my husband and worked toward getting married in the temple and raising my children in the gospel. The church offers abundance and has been a big blessing in my life.
